Stars & End of the show

Like every year since 1977, legendary restaurant Fouquet’s Paris will be hosting the greatest names of the French Cinema on February 24th, during the annual gala dinner held after the 42nd César ceremony, before shutting down temporarily for renovation.

Official partner of the César ceremony, French equivalent of the Oscar, restaurant Fouquet’s Paris will be hosting nearly 740 hand-picked guests during the traditional annual gala dinner following the 42nd César ceremony. As guest of honor, actor George Clooney is also expected on the red carpet.

In the kitchens, the menu is designed in collaboration with renowned Chef Pierre Gagnaire.

“The menu is designed like a movie, and must be telling a story; a story that provides delights, and a few emotions. The traditional Foie Gras is restyled with unusual savors and textures. The lobster is combined with Paris mushrooms and the onions of Roscoff. The César, feels like a celebration and the sun that everybody is craving for” develops Chef Gagnaire.

The menu of that evening:

Duck Foie Gras ballotine

Dry figs marbré

Red beet marmelade Apple sauce / Artichoke brioche

**

Poached lobster with brown butter

Yellow mango / Paris mushrooms Onions of Roscoff

Agria potatoe and turmeric celeriac mousseline

On this occasion, the iconic restaurant will be unrolling an outstanding organization to please all of the guests in record time.

This year in particular, spotlights will be turned towards the famous Parisian landmark, that will be shutting down in the aftermath of this big evening.
