Swing & Escape

Experience legendary courses, travel across the greens and savour the comfort of the club houses. With more than 50 golf courses, including three own-brand courses, the sport is closely entwined with the Barrière Spirit. Players of all levels can enjoy breathtakingly scenic grounds during a stay at one of the Barrière's destinations.

As an essential component of the "French-style Resort", golf has historically contributed to the pleasure of a stay at Barrière. In 1929, the construction of the Golf Barrière Deauville, today one of the most famous in France, began with lines remarkably developed by Tom Simpson, a leading British architect.

Exceptional courses, majestic sites

Thanks to the Barrière's partnerships at each of its 11 destinations, guests can enjoy exclusive access to legendary golf courses that are often closed to non-resident players.

This offer is enhanced by its prestigious Barrière greens: the historic Barrière Deauville Golf Course, the exceptional circuits of the Barrière Saint-Julien Golf Course typically designed in the English tradition, the International Barrière La Baule Golf Course, one of the greatest golf courses in Europe and the largest in France, covering 220 hectares.

Quality and comfort for casual sports lovers

While winding their way around the legendary routes, beginners and experienced players alike can enjoy top-notch facilities that are ideal for both introductory or improvement sessions. The putting green, driving range and professional coaches provide an introduction to the rules of the game or give guests the chance to improve their technique and perfect their swing in ideal conditions.

The Training Centre at Golf International Barrière La Baule is very active. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, who is considered to be one of the best golfers of all time, it boasts exceptional conditions with 10 covered boxes and 55 bays with natural or synthetic turf.

Comfortably settled on the terrace or inside with a view over the green, players can savour a refreshment and the delicious cuisine of "Tables Barrière" at the Barrière's club houses.
