Planète Barrière

Reinventing our professions together to deliver an innovative and more responsible customer experience

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, known as “Planète Barrière”, structures and integrates environmental and societal issues into the Barrière Group's business activities.

Founded over a century ago, the Group attaches particular importance to human values and respect for the environment. Its ambition is to offer its customers a high-end experience marked by friendliness.

This approach is driven by Governance and embodied by all teams. Within the establishments, Sustainable Development Officers act as conductors, working to roll out the CSR strategy through a range of actions and partnerships that highlight the Barrière Group's regional roots. Customers, teams, local authorities, suppliers, partners... All stakeholders are on board thanks to a constructive and cooperative approach.

The “Planète Barrière” strategy for 2025-2027 is based on three pillars: the environment, social responsibility, and governance.

Discover the ambitions and commitments for each of them below.

Our initiatives

As part of the Barrière Group's CSR commitment, long-term partnerships have been established to support projects with a social and environmental impact.

Café Joyeux

To offer more responsible services and raise awareness about disabilities in a different way, the Barrière Group has been supporting Café Joyeux for several years.

Café Joyeux is a social enterprise committed to the inclusion of people with mental and cognitive disabilities. Its ambition is to offer a different perspective and encourage encounters by providing work in a normal environment to people who are far from the job market.

To support this company, the Group's hotels offer their guests Café Joyeux coffee capsules.

Soap recycling

Used soap from Barrière Hotels is given a new lease of life thanks to charitable organizations, while contributing to humanitarian causes. This more sustainable and socially responsible initiative aims to combat waste and provide access to hygiene for those most in need. As a result, more than 3.1 tons of soap were recycled in 2024.

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Throughout October, the Group's teams are rallying together to support the fight against breast cancer through solidarity and awareness-raising initiatives such as pink runs and walks organized across the country, as well as by providing financial support to associations committed to the cause.
