Barrière continues to operate the Casino de Cassis for a further 15 years

On July 1, 2025, the City of Cassis renewed the public service delegation (DSP) for the casino, which has been located in the municipality since 1978, to the Barrière Group for a period of 15 years. This renewal reflects the strength of the long-standing partnership between the municipality and the Group, and a shared desire to pursue an ambitious project at the heart of the Cassis region.

“This renewal of the public service delegation agreement is much more than a contractual commitment: it reflects a shared vision for the economic, tourist, and cultural development of Cassis. The Barrière Group is proud to be able to continue its involvement in this local initiative,” said Clément MARTIN SAINT LÉON, General Manager of Casinos for the Barrière Group.

An ambitious transformation project in the heart of Cassis

The renewal of this public service delegation is accompanied by a vast project to restructure the casino and turn it into a true entertainment hub, worthy of the prestige and elegance of the town of Cassis. With a committed investment of €8.9 million, the work will focus in particular on:

  • The complete reorganization of the gaming areas, with a reversal of the slot machine and traditional gaming zones. Slot machines will now be installed in direct connection with the terraces, for a gaming experience in keeping with the gentle Mediterranean lifestyle.

  • An upgrade of the restaurant offering, combining indoor and outdoor spaces, and redesigned to reflect the gaming atmosphere and Cassis lifestyle.

  • The creation of a central “entertainment” area between the bar and the gaming area, designed to host immersive, festive events open to all throughout the year.

A renewed and accessible entertainment offering

The Casino Barrière Cassis is consolidating its position as a lively, must-see venue in the regional landscape. The entertainment program will offer:

  • Musical performances (live bands, DJs, jazz artists, particularly during the Cassis Jazz Festival);

  • Event-based entertainment in the gaming areas (immersive games, celebrations, sports broadcasts);

  • Charity and cultural events organized with local partners (Rotary Club, Telethon, Red Cross, etc.).

A strong social and environmental commitment

The Casino Barrière Cassis project is part of a sustainable development and social responsibility approach:

  • Reducing the energy footprint in the renovated areas;

  • Improved accessibility for people with reduced mobility;

  • Promotion of local products;

  • Mobilization of teams around important social causes (breast cancer awareness, toy drives, local solidarity, etc.).

A shared vision with the City of Cassis

This new delegation embodies a shared ambition between Barrière and the City of Cassis: to enhance the attractiveness of the area through a redesigned casino that is more open, more modern, and rooted in local life.

The gaming offering, architectural setting, and customer experience are evolving in a project that serves to promote Cassis, driven by a sustainable and committed partnership.
