SOCIAL PILLAR
The well-being and health of guests and teams are at the heart of the Group's strategy. The Barrière spirit is based on supporting talent development and contributing to the dynamism of the regions, thereby fostering an environment conducive to collective growth.
Responsible Employer
Diversity and inclusion
The Barrière Group's strength lies in its diverse range of profiles.
Diversity is valued and everyone is welcomed with enthusiasm, regardless of age, gender, religion, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, or disability. The company's goal is for everyone to feel integrated into their team and work environment so that they can thrive on a daily basis.
The Barrière Group also adapts its recruitment processes on request to meet the needs of candidates with disabilities. The Group values candidates who share its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and who wish to contribute to its ambition to have a positive impact on society and the environment.
Gender equality
In order to prevent all forms of sexism, on January 23, 2025, Grégory Rabuel, CEO of the Barrière Group, signed the #StOpE initiative charter. The #StOpE initiative, Stop Ordinary Sexism in Business, was created in 2018 by Accor, EY, and L'Oréal France. It was launched alongside thirty companies and organizations and is the first inter-company initiative aimed at combating so-called “ordinary” sexism in the workplace.

By signing this charter, the Group undertakes to comply with and enforce it by implementing at least one of its eight actions each year.
Barrière is also setting up a support system dedicated to women with potential who wish to access positions of responsibility. This program is based on personalized coaching, supervised by the Director of Individual Development, a certified professional with over 20 years of experience in management.
The Group's Diversity Policy aims to ensure professional equality between women and men at every stage of their careers and implements measures such as access to health coverage during parental leave and the option to put one's professional career on hold.
Inclusion of people with disabilities
The Group has been committed for several years to the inclusion of people with disabilities, facilitating their recruitment and retention in employment. This commitment is based in particular on an agreement signed with all social partners. It takes the form of partnerships with ESATs, specific training, and awareness-raising initiatives for all employees. The Group also monitors the professional development of its employees and provides them with equipment adapted to their daily needs, both professional and personal.
Support for interns and work-study students
The Barrière Group supports its interns and work-study students as they take their first steps into working life. With this in mind, the Group develops strong partnerships with schools at both local and national level and offers interns and work-study students remuneration above the legal minimum.
Support for experienced candidates
The Barrière Group supports experienced candidates aged 57 and over by adjusting their working hours, offering assistance with administrative formalities, and providing training on the transition from work to retirement. The Group also promotes access to progressive retirement.
Talent commitment is celebrated at special ceremonies attended by the Group's Co-Chairmen, highlighting the importance of knowledge transfer and experience sharing.
The average length of service within the Barrière Group is 10 years.
Creating optimal working conditions
A successful arrival within the teams requires awareness of the Spirit and Culture of the Company. As soon as they sign their employment contract, all new Talents benefit from a 100% digital onboarding program designed to quickly immerse them in the Group's world and its many activities. At the same time, the establishments organize fun onboarding sessions that also allow new employees to get to know each other through shared experiences.
On a daily basis, the Group closely monitors health and safety measures in the workplace to prevent risks and ensure employee protection. This includes providing a listening, support, and psychological counseling service that all Barrière employees can access via a toll-free number, available 24/7.
In a quest for continuous improvement, the Barrière Group has established quality of life and working conditions indicators based on the results of regular anonymous national and local surveys. These results are analyzed locally by the General Managers and Human Resources departments, as well as at headquarters by each of the business divisions, in order to develop action plans that are closely aligned with the feedback received.
Sécurité et satisfaction client
In addition to its commitment to Responsible Gaming, which is outlined in a dedicated section, the Barrière Group is committed to ensuring the safety and satisfaction of its customers while offering them more responsible offers and events.

In all its casinos, the Group is committed to offering soft mobility solutions and more responsible services, such as stopping serving alcohol one hour before the closing of bars open at night, providing cybersecurity training to promote best practices and ensure customer data security, and training all teams to welcome customers with disabilities.
The Group also aims to gradually obtain “Tourisme & Handicap” certification for its establishments. This certification helps tourist facilities optimize their accessibility by offering a tailored and reassuring experience to visitors with disabilities.
A strict policy on compliance with health and safety rules is applied to ensure a healthy environment for customers and staff. The establishments comply with HACCP standards (hazard analysis and critical control points), hygiene training is mandatory for kitchen staff who handle food, and samples are taken regularly by a specialized laboratory.
Responsible Catering

The Group aims to promote a more sustainable catering model that combines pleasure, quality, and respect for the environment by offering its guests local and seasonal products, as well as vegetarian dishes.
The Group is vigilant about the quality of its catering services and favors quality labels (Label Rouge, MSC Sustainable Fishing).
For more than 15 years, thanks to a specially designed culinary laboratory and a network of carefully selected suppliers and artisans, the Barrière Group has been offering catering services that reflect the excellence of the Barrière experience, dedicated to all of its establishments.
With extremely high standards in terms of product quality and food safety, Traiteur Barrière is committed to a more comprehensive sustainable development policy. Traiteur Barrière adheres to a set of fundamental values in the areas of human rights, ethics, and environmental protection on a daily basis.
Particular attention is paid to food waste by calibrating the offering as accurately as possible, adapting containers, and training teams on this issue.

In 2017, the Barrière Group launched an annual Anti-Waste Challenge. This commitment won the Sustainable Tourism Award in 2018. This internal challenge has given way to a new challenge for its chefs, launched in 2023: the Veggie Challenge.
In order to meet customer expectations and environmental challenges and to raise awareness of vegetarian cuisine among staff, each year chefs are invited to compete by creating a vegetarian dish. The finalists have the opportunity to present their creations to a panel of experts at Fouquet's Paris. The winning dishes (one winner for the casinos and one winner for the hotels) are then featured on the à la carte menus of the Group's restaurants during European Sustainable Development Week.
Territorial and cultural integration

The Barrière Group is actively involved in the communities where it operates. Because these communities are rich in expertise, heritage, and culture, the Group makes it a point of honor to promote them by establishing itself as a major player in economic and cultural life, thereby also creating many long-term jobs.

As part of its local development policy, each of the Group's establishments maintains close ties with regional stakeholders, thereby contributing to the vitality of the economy, as well as to the preservation of heritage and the promotion of culture. The Barrière Group is particularly proud to support major artistic events such as the Deauville American Film Festival and the Cannes Film Festival.
Numerous charitable initiatives are also carried out at the local level. Throughout the year, food, clothing, and toy drives are organized for associations such as the SPA, Les Restos du Coeur, and Les Bouchons d'Amour.
Finally, Barrière is committed to offering its customers responsible activities in conjunction with partner agencies and/or local activities during their stay.
