The Barrière group's show Fabricurious wins the Audience Award at the Musical Theater Awards

The Barrière Group is proud to announce that its show Fabricurious, produced by Casino Barrière Lille, won the Audience Award at the Musical Theater Awards ceremony on June 23 at the Théâtre Mogador in Paris. This award, voted for by the public from among more than 50 musical shows eligible this season, recognizes the Group's creative audacity and a work that has truly touched and brought together audiences.

Created in 2017, the Musical Comedy Awards are presented each year to the best musical shows, similar to the César Awards for cinema and the Molière Awards for theater.

In addition to this award, Fabricurious is one of five musical shows selected by a jury of professionals in four other categories: Best Musical Show, Best Ensemble, Best Choreography and Best Costume Design. This recognition is a testament to the artistic excellence and unique identity of this production.

The Barrière group was also represented by a second original creation: Juste à temps ! (Just in Time!), created by the Casino Barrière Toulouse, which is also in the running for the Audience Award.

With these two shows, Barrière has established itself alongside some of the biggest productions of the moment, such as Dirty Dancing, La Haine and Les Dix Commandements.

"We are very proud of this distinction awarded by the public, which confirms the success of Fabricurious with its 36 performances and more than 15,000 spectators. It is a tremendous recognition for our teams and an encouragement to pursue our ambition: to create spectacular experiences that are bold, sensitive and unforgettable for our customers," said Blandine Harmelin, Artistic Director of the Barrière Group

A long-standing commitment to culture

Since its inception, Barrière has maintained close ties with the arts. Shows and cinema are at the heart of the group's DNA. As true cultural players in the regions where they are located, Barrière establishments host nearly 3,000 events in France every year.

To bring its artistic projects to life, Barrière relies on a dynamic collective creative process, drawing on its in-house talent, contemporary creators, and local artists, whom it helps to emerge through genuine teamwork. The shows are conceived from the writing to the production. In 2025, four new productions were launched: Fabricurious at Casino Barrière Lille, Juste à Temps at Casino Barrière Toulouse, Glitter by Ruhl at Casino Barrière Nice, and The Great Party at Casino Barrière Deauville.

About Fabricurious:

Fabricurious is a musical comedy, directed by Alexis Meriaux and choreographed by Raffaele Lucania, which takes the form of a crazy cabaret in a strange and enchanting world. Performed by 16 artists, the show plunges the audience into a forgotten factory of curiosities, inhabited by mechanical creatures, which once made it famous. Through them, the audience is invited to question the boundary between man and machine in an electrifying atmosphere combining rock and music hall, enhanced by the fabulous orchestration of musical director Xavier Bugaj.

Fun fact: The show's cast includes Robin Morgenthaler, singer and French voice of Timothée Chalamet in the film Wonka.
