As part of its CSR approach and its commitment to disability, this April sees the Barrière group launch a fundraising operation.
Having already been committed for several years to helping those with disabilities as part of its CSR policy and its «United for Disabled Talent» approach, the Barrière group has chosen to join forces with the social enterprise «Comment Cents» to create a fundraising plan in its establishments. This partnership will allow all of Barrière’s clients and employees to be a part of this commitment.
From this April, all of Barrière’s hotels and 8 of its casinos in the Grand Ouest region (Saint-Malo, Dinard, Bénodet, La Baule, La Rochelle, Royan, Bordeaux and Biarritz) will be taking part in this campaign. All of these establishments will have a “One Touch Donation Box”, allowing donations to be made by credit/debit card.
All of the funds raised will be donated to «Comme les Autres», one of the group’s partner associations who provides support to people who have become disabled as a result of an accident, assisting them on their path to rehabilitation. Created in 2011 by Carolyn Jérémiasz-Aldridge, Michaël Jérémiasz and Jonathan Jérémiasz, «Comme les Autres» focuses on energetic social care through thrilling and exciting activities, to kick start professional and social integration. Together, participants take part in unforgettable experiences through extreme sport, improving their self-confidence and pushing themselves out of their comfort zone.
The Barrière group shares the same values of solidarity and open-mindedness, which is why it made perfect sense for us to join forces with «Comme les Autres» and «Common Cents». Together, we can change the way we view disability.
