Casino Barrière Deauville: The City Renews the Public Service Delegation for Eighteen Years

On December 19, 2025, the city of Deauville reaffirmed its confidence in the Barrière Group by renewing the public service concession for the Deauville Casino for eighteen years. This decision builds on a shared history that began in 1912, the year this landmark venue opened—the first casino operated by Barrière and a symbol of the enduring bond between the resort and the Group.

An iconic landmark of the resort for over a century, the Casino Barrière Deauville embodies the elegance, entertainment, and art of living that have shaped Deauville’s international reputation. This new public service delegation (DSP) marks a new milestone, one that lives up to the site’s heritage and the shared ambitions of the city and the Group.

A transformative project for an iconic site

As part of this new DSP, Barrière will undertake a renovation and modernization program to adapt to changing trends and enhance the Casino’s appeal. The project aims to create a more accessible, comfortable, and vibrant space that showcases all activities:

● continuous optimization of table games, electronic games, and slot machines,

● creation of relaxation and event spaces,

● improved integration between gaming rooms, dining areas, and entertainment spaces.

A Long-Standing Commitment to Creativity and the Performing Arts

As a long-standing partner of the Deauville American Film Festival, founded in 1975 and co-founded by Lucien Barrière, the Casino Barrière Deauville has been committed for five decades to supporting this major event in the world of cinema. This enduring connection illustrates the Group’s commitment to cinema and to Deauville’s cultural mission as a place for encounters and dialogue between American creativity and the French public.

Building on this commitment, the Casino Barrière Deauville reaffirms its role as a major player in entertainment and live performance. It offers a high-quality program for the general public, complementing the city’s cultural season, hosting 25 theater performances and 23 dinner shows, and presenting an events lineup designed for local, regional, and Parisian audiences, both weekdays and weekends.
