Chalet & Gourmandise

Escape to the snow-capped peaks for a few hours and enjoy the cosy, intimate atmosphere of a traditional chalet, savouring a delicious raclette with friends in the middle of winter. Courchevel comes to Paris from 27th November to 17th February with Chalet Les Neiges 1850 from Hôtel Barrière Le Fouquet’s.

As the cold weather arrives, the Christmas and New Year holidays approach and the slopes begin to call, Hôtel Barrière Le Fouquet’s Paris switches to winter mode. Barrière has built a 20m2 wooden chalet for up to 8 people on the terrace of Joy restaurant, right at the heart of the newly refurbished establishment. Inspired by the most recent addition to the Barrière portfolio - Hôtel Barrière Les Neiges Courchevel – this bubble of fresh mountain air located on the most beautiful avenue in the world is an amazing setting for anyone longing for the snowy slopes.

Wooden furniture, animal skins, music, furs and Christmas decorations give the spectacular setting a warm and cosy atmosphere.

Chalet Les Neiges 1850 offers a single lunch and dinner menu. The meal begins with an appetizer and cocktail created by Stéphane Ginouvès, award winning Head Barman (Meilleur Ouvrier de France) at Hôtel Barrière Le Fouquet’s Paris, made with Veuve Clicquot Rich Champagne, produced specially for mixing and served over ice with a spiced wine. Then comes the obligatory raclette, selected by award-winning cheesemonger Xavier Thuret (Meilleur Ouvrier de France) and served with a selection of cold meats from Maison Garcia, a salad with truffle and grenaille potatoes. Dessert - a mini baked Alaska and chocolate fondue with “Montserrat 37% cocoa” and “Akosombo 68% cocoa” selected by the Pastry Chef and La Maison du Chocolat - will delight the finest palate.

At €115 per person, the menu may be served with or without by wine and/or Champagne. [1]
