The Barrière group launches BarrièreBet,

its first gaming platform, dedicated to sports betting

On September the 16th, the Barrière group is launching its first white label gaming platform dedicated to sports betting.

Paris, September the 10 th 2020 – A leading player in the gaming and entertainment world, and market leader in French casinos with 28 establishments in France and a gaming club on the Champs Elysées, the Barrière group is readying itself to expand its gaming offer on September the 16 th with the launch of BarrièreBet, a platform initially dedicated to sports betting, which will eventually be expanded to include horse racing and poker bets.

An operator of land-based casinos in France and Switzerland, Barrière has enlisted BetConstruct to operate its BarrièreBet brand - the BetConstruct Group is a world leader in the online gaming sector, with an operating license issued by the ANJ (formerly ARJEL) in France. This partnership gives Barrière access to BetConstruct’s expertise and technology, which already has a good track record on both the French and international markets.

Available online, and soon via a mobile app (available on IoS and Android), BarrièreBet will gradually roll out its online gaming offer starting with sports betting, and then expanding into horse racing and online poker. From the launch on September the 16 th , registered BarrièreBet gamblers will be able to place bets on around forty sports, and enjoy a packed start to the season with the return of the football championships (Premier League and La Liga, Football Ligue 1 which will restart on the 20 th of September with matches between OM-Lille and Nice-PSG), Roland Garros, and many more. BarriereBet.fr features over 40 sports, more than 30,000 sporting events per year, and over 200 types of bet per event!

In addition to the range of bets available, BarrièreBet will reward the performances of those in the betting community and offer access to unique experiences in the Group’s many establishments. BarrièreBet will offer a wide range of entertainment for bettors and sports fans with thousands of free bonus bets, as well as content such as the “Spotlight on…” feature, which analyses team and player statistics in the run-up to a particular event, “The B Bet Trophy”, which shares a visual every Monday showing the best bet of the week, and “On That Day” which looks back at events or athletes that really left their mark on a sport’s history.

 

A launch that forms part of the Group’s Transformation Strategy

 

The launch of BarrièreBet signals the Group’s desire for transformation and diversification, and the acceleration of the digital strategy spearheaded by Alexandre Desseigne-Barrière, Director of Transformation. Conceived as a ‘phygital’ project aiming to offer a comprehensive gaming experience for both online and land-based gamblers, BarrièreBet will strengthen Barrière’s diversification strategy in the entertainment world.
