European Sustainable Development Week : Barrière plays its part

In addition to a large cap collection project in our casinos and the eco-friendly menus offered by the “Tables Barrière”, Barrière also takes part in European Sustainable Development week through a number of local initiatives:

Solidarity at Barrière

A huge professional clothing drive was organised in Lille in collaboration with the organisation "La cravate solidaire" (the solidarity tie).

130 kg of clothes, encompassing a huge range of men’s and women’s suits, will then be distributed by the organisation to support and facilitate job access for those in need.

Biodiversity at Barrière

The mysteries of garden life were revealed to the employees of l’Hôtel Barrière Le Royal La Baule. The organisation CPIE Loire Océane provided 45 employees with all the necessary tools to try their hand at gardening and a few tips to keep their soil well-nourished and thriving.

Clean ups took place in La Rochelle with the help of our clients, and also in Le Touquet, where the local mission at Montreuil-sur-Mer and Casino Barriere employees came together to clean up the town. A 6th grade class from Le Touquet’s Maxence Van der Meersch middle school, accompanied by Hôtel Barrière Le Westminster employees, also did its part in keeping Le Touquet clean. Le Casino Barrière Toulouse also played an active role, through the creation of a Biodiversity trail in its park.

Honouring leading local figures

In Courrendlin, local artisans and producers were given deserved recognition and their products (jams and confectionery) were offered to our clients.
